History
Webb Chapel United Methodist Church was founded in the log cabin home of Colonel Isaac B. Webb. The first meeting of the church was in Webb's log cabin on March 19, 1844. On May 5, 1845 Rev. Shook was sent here as a missionary. He preached his first sermon in Isaac Webb's log cabin. They organized a society at that time consisting of 5 members. The first church building was erected in 1846. It was a log cabin that was only 18 ft. square. They named it Webb Chapel. In 1887 a frame chruch was built on Webb Chapel Rd. near the present Webb Chapel Cemetery. In 1903 they moved the church to it's present location on Valley View Lane.
