Located in San Antonio, KWEX is a Spanish language television station that telecasts several programs on national and local news, sports and weather. It is a part of Univision Communications, which is one of the leading Spanish-language media companies in the United States. Founded in 1961, Univision Communications operates through the Univision Network, TeleFutura Network, Galavision, and Univision and TeleFutura Television Groups divisions. Univision Communications also owns and operates Univision Radio, Univision Music Group and Univision Online. Most of its stations air local news and programming in addition to network shows. Univision Communications is headquartered in New York City.
