United Space Alliance, LLC (USA) was a Limited Liability Company formed in 1996 by The Boeing Company and Lockheed Martin Corporation. It consolidated over 30 heritage contracts and served as NASA's primary industry partner in human space operations, managing the Space Shuttle fleet and supporting missions to the International Space Station. However, as of December 20, 2019, USA is no longer an operating entity.
Throughout its existence, USA achieved significant milestones, including its involvement in the Space Flight Operations Contract (SFOC), the Space Program Operations Contract (SPOC), and the Integrated Mission Operations Contract (IMOC). These contracts encompassed the planning, training, and operations for numerous Space Shuttle missions and International Space Station increments. While USA's 401(k) Money Purchase Plan has been terminated, retirees and employees can seek assistance for various inquiries, such as pensions, retiree medical, and employment verifications, through designated channels.
