Our story begins long ago when Portuguese sailors brought with them a souvenir plant after visiting the coast of Africa. They took this tiny plant called the African Bird’s Eye Chili which was fiery and had its own distinct flavor. We bring you the same African Bird’s Eye Chili which the locals called Peri Peri from the Portuguese city of Porto to entice the American palate. This Peri Peri is also the star ingredient of our signature blends and sauces, which adds a new dimension and takes the taste of our food to a whole new level!
