Established in 1986, Children s Courtyard provides early childhood education and care programs to infants through school-aged children. It serves more than 8,000 children and their families, and offers a variety of learning opportunities that promote children s intellectual curiosity, academic achievement and personal fulfillment. The school s infant and toddler and preschool programs follow the guidelines of the scope active learning framework. It also offers the junior prekindergarten program for 3-year-olds and a prekindergarten program for 4-year-olds. The school s private kindergarten program emphasizes literature, writing and computer skills, math concepts and scientific exploration. It also offers a junior counselor program that provides older students a chance to assume leadership roles and participate in activities and field trips designed exclusively for them.
