Texas State Technical College, established in 1965, is a coeducational two-year institution of higher education offering courses in technical and vocational education. It provides more than 100 advanced technical and associate degrees in applied sciences and certificate programs throughout Texas and online. Texas State Technical College operates various campuses, such as TSTC Harlingen, TSTC Marshall, TSTC Waco, and TSTC West Texas, that has campuses in Abilene, Breckenridge, Brownwood and Sweetwater in Texas. The college offers various educational programs in various disciplines, including agriculture, information technology and telecommunications, engineering and manufacturing, health, sciences, transportation and business and commerce. Its courses in information technology and telecommunications include various subjects, such as computer hardware, geographic information systems, network security, digital media and advertising design and print. It additionally offers courses in instrumentation, laser electro optics, machining, mechatronics, nanotechnology, surgical technology, dental assistant, vocational nursing, and golf course and landscape management. The institutions of the Texas State Technical College are approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
