Founded in 1935, TNMP is also known as Texas-New Mexico Power Company, offers community-based electric services to more than 75 cities and over 216,000 customers throughout Texas. The cooperative supports communities in Texas with educational initiatives, community presentations and corporate giving. It offers emergency services for power outage situations. The cooperative features energy-efficiency programs that provide incentives for installation of energy saving measures. TNMP serves industrial, commercial and residential customers. It also conducts competitive retailer workshops periodically. The cooperative is a wholly owned subsidiary of PNM Resources, which is an energy holding company that offers natural gas and electricity and is located in Albuquerque, N.M. TNMP maintains a presence in Clifton, Texas.
