Youth Rodeo Association
The Youth Rodeo Association (YRA) is a nonprofit organization based in Bellville, TX, dedicated to promoting the sport of rodeo among young Americans and improving its image through enhanced cooperation among youth rodeo contestants, parents, and adults interested in the youth rodeo movement. Managed by a Board of Directors elected by the General Membership, the YRA offers a range of services including rodeo schedules, results, forms, qualifiers, and a rule book. With over 50 years of experience, the YRA invites participants to join their annual rodeo season, which runs from August to June, culminating in the Finals. Membership is open to boys and girls aged 8 and under (Peewee Contestant Members), 9-12 (Sub-junior Contestant Members), 13-15 (Junior Contestant Members), and 16-19 (Senior Contestant Members). Additionally, the YRA welcomes Associate Parent Members who support the youth rodeo movement spiritually, physically, and financially. Rodeo events include poles, barrels, tiedown, ribbons, figure 8s, breakaway, chute dogging, steer wrestling, goat tying, and team roping, with cash prizes awarded based on the number of contestants.Generated from the website
