History
As with most non-profits, Texas Emergency Cleanup Services was founded organically. In 2002, a horrific crime occurred at a family friend's business in Fremont, CA. No one in our family was prepared for this heartbreaking event, which was only made more devastating when we learned we had to clean up the crime scene ourselves. Like most families, we assumed that after the investigation was complete, full cleanup would be provided by the Police, Fire Dept, or some other govt agency. While most first responders would sincerely like to do more to help, they are not allowed. This left us considering the unthinkable of cleaning up our loved one's bodily fluids ourselves. We even tried calling local cleaning services, only to be turned down--often in a less than compassionate manner. We simply had nowhere to turn, and we knew that our family was not alone, which is when I launched Texas Emergency Cleanup Services--a registered a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
