HistoryIn 1969, Dwain & Carolyn Bruner arrived in Stephenville and purchased the Chevrolet dealership. The business was incorporated in 1971, the Body Shop was constructed in '74, and Chrysler and Dodge were added in '82. Greg Bruner, their son, graduated from Baylor and was added as full-time staff in 1984. Our Used Car building was added in '85 and Buick, Cadillac & GMC joined in the fun. The early 90s saw most of our buildings remodeled. The Bruner's opened a Used lot and Lube/Oil Center in Glen Rose, Texas in 1996 and the Car Wash at Bruner's in 2003! 2007 saw the addition of Bruner Auto Group in Brownwood, Texas, consisting of General Motors & Toyota lines. Our two Stephenville dealerships were remodeled in 2012/2013, and Fiat joined us in 2016 as well. The Texas Automobile Dealers Association presented its prestigious 'Family Business Award' to the Bruners in 2005, recognizing 75 years of excellent service.
