History
Shala W. Graham shot through high school and college, even being commissioned by the Smithsonian to contribute to their Jubilee exhibition. After she started her design business in 2005, she left photography as a hobby. In 2015, she needed photographs for a new business and in 2016 she raised money for her mission trip to the Philippines by doing portrait sessions and events. It didn't take long before she decided to switch gears to focus on photography again. After exploring a wide genre of photography, she found her niche photographing women like her, who hustle in their business and in their careers. Shala's business office is in downtown Silver Spring, but her photo studio is in DC just 3 blocks from the Eastern Market Metro stop.
