Sarah Aguilar is a family nurse practitioner, who has specialized in sleep medicine and neurology, for over ten years. She has become well-known in her field, as she speaks nationally to her peers about the debilitating disorder narcolepsy. Sarah completed her bachelor's in nursing from University of Southern California in 1999. She began her work as a nurse on a telemetry unit, caring for cardiac patients after angiograms and open-heart surgeries. Her favorite position as a nurse, was in the emergency room, where she cared for cardio-pulmonary emergencies and took on the roles of charge nurse and paramedic radio nurse. After completing her master's degree with honors as a family nurse practitioner from Azusa Pacific University in 2004, Sarah worked at the campus' University Health Center.
