San Juan Map
San Juan is a city in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. The population in July 2008 was 33,970 since then the population of San Juan increased since 2000 by +29.5%. The name reflects that of a founding father. It is part of the McAllen–Edinburg–Mission metropolitan area.
The community was organized in 1909, in part, due to the efforts of John Closner.
The City of San Juan is most commonly known for "Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan" which is one of the largest & biggest church in the Rio Grande Valley.
