History
Founded in Houston, TX, in 1930, by Sister Mary Benitia Vermeersch, in response to the material and spiritual needs of the refugees from Mexico during the revolution of 1910-1936. Sr. Benitia and 2 Catechists went to San Antonio and started catechetical work in the poor sections of the city and the organization grew from there. Now Sisters serve at schools, hospitals, clinics, Nursing homes and missions in their quest to assist the poor and neglected.
Specialties
Under the protection of Our Lady of Guadalupe, our patroness, we advocate for the rights of the poor and the disenfranchised, as we promote peace, justice, and human rights for all. Additionally we have a very large hall that we rent out for baby showers, birthdays, etc.
