History
In the United States, Sahaja Yoga Meditation was first introduced by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi in 1972. It is now practiced in over 50 cities and metropolitan areas, in institutions ranging from permanent meditation centers to corporations, schools, universities, public libraries, hospitals, drug rehabilitation centers and many other locations. In the Dallas/Fort Worth area, since 1996 thousands of residents benefited from the positive transformation brought by this practice, from young children to corporate employees and retired citizens of all backgrounds, races and nationalities. Our DFW chapter is very diverse and counts among its members IT professionals, doctors, executives, business owners, students, homemakers - all united by the desire and passion to share the discovery that has changed our lives with as many as possible. Our non-profit organization is strictly volunteer based. We learned Sahaja for free, and we teach it for free for the benefit of all our communities.
