Permian Basin Community Centers, with its administrative office in Midland, Texas, is a public agency that provides a comprehensive array of services to persons experiencing mental illnesses and developmental problems. Founded in 1969, it also provides services to people suffering from chemical dependency problems and children that are developmentally delayed. It delivers its services to more than 10 counties in Texas, including Brewster, Culberson, Ector, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Midland, Pecos and Presidio counties. It provides four main services, that include outpatient services for mental health clients and service coordination and rehabilitation services for persons with mental and developmental problems. Additionally, it provides a variety of programs to persons in need of chemical dependency services, offers early childhood intervention services for children up to 3 years old who are identified as developmentally delayed, and also provides HIV and dual diagnosis services.
