Dr. Ochoa earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2001 and completed general surgery training at UT Health Science Center San Antonio, where he conducted NIH-funded research and earned an MS in Clinical Investigation. Board-certified in General Surgery in 2010, he specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UT Health Houston and MD Anderson, focusing on microvascular reconstruction. Joining PRMA in 2011, Dr. Ochoa has advanced research in breast reconstruction, lymphedema treatment, and sensory re-innervation. A bilingual FACS fellow, he is an award-winning leader in his field.
