Medical Capital Recovery, Inc has been providing its third party resource eligibility services to the healthcare industry since 1992. It is the only company of its kind to legally represent the patient and not the hospital. Although the hospital may be paying MCR for its services, the patient is its client. The patient/client representation concept assures the patient that our services are primarily for the patient's benefit. This relationship has allowed MCR, in some cases, to attend Department of Human Services interviews on behalf of the patient without the patient being present. Using the legal representative of the patient concept, MCR believes that it has achieved the highest recovery rate in the industry. Patients are much more honest and cooperative with MCR than even the most courteous hospital employee. Furthermore, MCR makes it clear to each patient that MCR is not a collection company, and that it has never asked a patient for money.MCR field staff consists of over 50 on-site personnel, over half of whom are ex-DHS staff. Our staff is the most knowledgeable and experienced in the industry. MCR trains its staff in all potential third party resource eligibility processes from COBRA to Victims of Crime.MCR has developed the E-TRAX SYSTEM computer software which monitors and tracks the entire eligibility process from the patient point of view... to always know where the patient is in the eligibility process and to require MCR staff to timely perform the next step in the process. Other companies' software simply allows their staff to record patient data, if they remember to do so. The E-TRAX SYSTEM requires the MCR staff to account for status of the patient in the eligibility process from the date of referral to the date the hospital has been paid. The E-TRAX SYSTEM automatically issues letters to the patient for initial introductions to MCR and reminders to meet with the DHS. The E-TRAX SYSTEM also posts a daily follow-up requirement list for all all-active patients in the system. The follow-up requirements may not be overridden and each follow-up must be met before the task is removed. Once a patient is within the actual eligibility process, the E-TRAX SYSTEM will monitor and require compliance with all documentary and chronological requirements. The E-TRAX SYSTEM requires that all action taken on a patient account has been documented in the SYSTEM.MCR has expanded its operation outside of Texas at the request of client hospital systems. MCR has followed its loyal clients into other states and now has operations in California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada, as well as Texas. Most importantly MCR will assure all clients that through internal quality control that it continues to be the most efficient, effective and professional third party resource recovery company in the industry.
