Lufkin Daily News is a daily newspaper based in Lufkin, Texas. The newspaper has a daily circulation of around 15,000 and a Sunday circulation of around 17,000. The Lufkin Daily News also won the Pulitzer Prize for public service in 1977, one of the highest awards given in journalism, for stories about abuses in military recruiting and training. Founded in 1906, The Lufkin Daily News converted to morning publication in 1996.
