When Dallas-based Interior Resources opened over 30 years ago, it was solely a commercial contract flooring company. Eight years later, owners Jack and Merikay Green restructured their business. Today, with their daughter, Paige Sowden, managing the showroom and their son, Evan, in sales and marketing, the business continues to prosper as a trade supplier of high-end carpets and rugs. Cover', A National Floorcovering Magazine, has recognized Int. Res. in their article The Best Rug Retailers in North America The article states, The ability to produce custom carpets is not confined to any single manufacturer or showroom, and many showrooms located outside of the Alpha Cities, rely on a wide repertoire of companies to supply their custom needs. Two showrooms that come to mind are Interior Resources in Dallas, Texas, and The Rug Source in Denver, Colorado. Both showrooms have highly talented in-house art departments who have been meeting the needs of their customers for decades. Interior Resources strives for uniqueness by creating and importing their own custom designs in a variety of qualities, ranging from custom administer and hand tufted broadloom carpet, hand knotted Tibetans, hand knotted Chinese antique reproductions, and hand tufted rugs. In 2009, Interior Resources was noticed by GoodWeave as not only a dealer, but also an importer of child labor free hand knotted Tibetan rugs. Its affiliation with GoodWeave enables Interior Resources to supply clients with custom designed Tibetan rugs hand-knotted in Nepal and also assure them that these beautiful rugs are child-labor-free. Supporting rug weavers and minimizing the global thumbprint associated with rug production industry is a priority for Interior Resources.
