The Palestine Institutional Parole Office is a part of the Parole Division, which is administered by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The department, also known as TDCJ, manages offenders in private correctional facilities and state prisons and jails. It is responsible for the supervision of offenders released from prisons on a parole and mandatory supervision basis. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice victim services division offers direct and personal support services for victims and their families. The department also maintains a health services division that provides several health care solutions for incarcerated offenders in the custody. In addition, it develops and provides various rehabilitative and re-entry programs.
