History
In 1883 six underwriters, each paying $1.00 in dues, founded the Dallas Board of Underwriters. Their first task as an association was to write the first rate book for Dallas, TX. In 1930 the association adopted the name Dallas Association of Insurance Agents and elected it's first President, R.W. Thompson. Since then, the IIAD has risen to many challenges to become one of the largest local trade associations in the US. The IIAD boasts over 300 members including some of the industries finest agents and companies. We pride ourselves on the continued success of our membership.
