The Houston Rockets is the National Basketball Association s Houston-based franchise. The organization was established in 1967 as the San Diego Rockets. In 1971 real estate broker Wayne Duddleston and banker Billy Goldberg bought the franchise and relocated it to Houston. The team has won two NBA titles, in 1994 and 1995. It has also inducted four players Elvin Hayes, Moses Malone, Calvin Murphy and Clyde Drexler into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The organization is based at Houston s 19,000-capacity Toyota Center, which is also home to the WNBA s Houston Comets and the AHL s Houston Aeros. The Houston Rockets team colors are red, white and silver.
