HistoryThe Watson Building was built in 1927 as a furniture store offering fine furniture to the new citizens of Lubbock who were moving here due to the growth of the newly founded Texas Technological College/Texas Tech University. After five decades of service, the furniture store closed, but The Watson Building was reborn as a venue for fine weddings, parties and events in 1995. We have been privileged to host hundreds of weddings and other events with guests now numbering in the tens of thousands over the past two plus decades.
