Girl Scouts of San Jacinto
Located in Houston, Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council is governed by a board of directors and was established in 1922. It serves more than 20 counties in southeast Texas, including Angelina, Brazoria, Chambers, Harris, Houston, Jefferson, Newton, Orange, Polk, Sabine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Walker and Wharton. Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council is chartered by the Girl Scouts of the USA, a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. It offers a wide variety of programs, including the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math program, also known as S.T.E.M., and Mars Rover Project. It has a council shop that stocks official badges, insignia, patches, books, uniform components, gifts, accessories and specially designed items for girl scouts. Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council offers various opportunities for camping and has more than five properties available for camping activities.
