The City Hall is governed by the City of Georgetown in Texas. The city government manages fire, police and economic development departments. Its public communications department provides information to the public through a monthly resident newsletter, city cable access and Web sites. The city government administers a human resources department that implements and manages the recruitment and selection of permanent and temporary employees. The department also designs and administers the employee benefits programs, produces internal communications and coordinates worker recognition programs. The city government s utility office handles disconnects and payments for water, electricity, garbage, wastewater and stormwater drainage services. Additionally, the office reads utility meters and mails bills to customers every month.
