Central Baptist ChurchThank you for taking time to visit our website and your interest in Central Baptist Church. Central Baptist Church was started in the heart of Amarillo in 1931 by Dr. J. Frank Norris of Ft. Worth, Texas. In May of 2007, we were able to move into our new facilities in the Southwest part of town after more than 75 years in our downtown location.Our church has many different ministries where a person can grow and serve. The main ministry is preaching & teaching the Word of God. Other ministries include: Central Baptist Christian Academy, Bus Ministry, Music Ministry, Children, Teen, & Adult Ministries, Nursing Home Ministry, and an actual Soul winning program.Our people have a heart for world-wide missions. As a result of this vision, we are currently helpting to support 85 missionaries around the world. Our vision for the future is to continue to honor Christ and help others come to know Him in a real and personal way through salvation and discipleship. We are excited to see the growth God has for us in all areas of our church ministries.
