Our HistoryLegacy would be the word to describe First National Bank of Bellville. First National Bank of Bellville?s legacy of commitment and service reaches back to July of 1890. That is over 130 years of dedication to our community and providing them with the kind of service you would expect from an institution with your values in mind.Congress passed the National Banking Acts of 1863 and 1864, which created a system of banks to be chartered by the federal government. First National Bank of Bellville was the product of these acts and was chartered in February of 1890. It is one of only nine banks that remain from these acts that are still in operation today. The first bank building was located on the south side of the square and moved a couple times after that before finding a permanent location. First National Bank of Bellville found its permanent home at 100 East Main Street on July 12, 1970. Since then it has opened branches in Waller in 2008 and in Wallis in 2015.In 2007, First National Bank of Bellville merged with Industry Bancshares, Inc. Industry Bancshares also owns Industry State Bank, Fayetteville Bank, First National Bank of Shiner, Bank of Brenham and Citizens State Bank of Buffalo. Our core values represent the exceptional standards that we the employees, officers and directors of First National Bank of Bellville uphold. Integrity and dedication to the people of our communities is what we stand for and with that continued commitment we have been here for our communities for 130 years and hope to be a part of it for many more years to come.
