Tim Gray joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in February 2014, following a 26-year career in the United States Army, where he attained the rank of Sergeant Major. A graduate of Columbia Southern University with an Associate degree in Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Tim is also a Certified Long-Term Care professional (CLTC®), granted by The CLTC Board of Standards, Inc. The CLTC ® designation provides professionals the critical tools necessary to discuss the subject of longevity and its consequences on their client's family and finances. He holds Series 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses plus state life and health insurance licenses in Alaska, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. Tim advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage risk. Focusing on each client's unique values and priorities, Tim offers solutions to help clients pursue their goals for accumulating retirement income, proper distribution of income, and building legacy for their loved ones. Tim specializes in helping military and federal employees integrate their benefit packages into comprehensive financial plans to pursue their financial goals. His knowledge of military pay and benefits enables him to advise clients on how to navigate the retirement with multiple pensions, claiming Social Security and Medicare as well as maximizing their purchasing power in retirement. In his free time, Tim enjoys fishing, running, classic cars and spending time with his family.
