Owners James and Karen Fain are natives of Knoxville, Tennessee where in their East Knoxville community barbeque is the next thing you learn after walking! Since 2004, the couple enjoyed serving friends and family a taste of Tennessee style que with its hickory smoke and savory vinegar base sauces. On April 27, 2011 the couple decided to take this Tennessee style of BBQ to the public with the opening of their first store in Houston's Westbury Community. With open hearts and bright smiles the Fains welcome all to taste barbeque done Tennesse Style! Fainmous BBQ was one of 15 restuarants who participated in Houston's 'Inaugural' BBQ Festival 24 March 2013.

Fainmous BBQ is serving the best of Tennessee style BBQ in Texas! Fainmous is known for its moist pulled pork and tender brisket that can be eaten with or without sauce. Other favorites include pork ribs, smoked turkey legs, and the Fainmous smoked spud (baked potato) with choice of meat toppings. All sides, potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw, and green beans are homemade. And to top the appetite off, take home a slice of Fainmous homemade sweet potato pie! If you crave southern style que where the smoke is hickory not mesquite and the sauce is savory not sweet, Fainmous is the place!
