History
Elizabeth Samudio, a transplant, brought her commitment of green living to north Texas ten years ago when she filled an earthen container with herbs, blooms and edibles in front of Starbucks. No surprise, since her roots go deep into the fertile culture of the Pacific Northwest. Her family cultivated farm living, land development and the wilderness into her at an early age. Since, Elizabeth's love of nature is her first language after moving to Fort Worth she yearned for natural beauty; hence, her out of the container introduction took hold and grew into an all organic garden and eco friendly landscape business. After about with cancer she continued to plow up follow ground and started Two hands garden program with a vision to grow organic food and community in an urban landscape. Given her passion for sustainability, when the DFW permaculture project came to the area she earned her permaculture design certification and also offers landscape design and irrigation installation.
Specialties
Elizabeth Anna's shop is about more than just buying pretty flowers or getting a landscape designed. It is about loving local food, inspiring others to plant, welcoming (the thought of) chickens into your life, being organic, educating, working with nature rather than against it, and most of all... building community. We love Fort Worth and all its dirt has to offer. Please stop by and consider buying the best organic edibles in town so you can grow vegetables in your landscape (I promise they can be beautiful) or for the more traditional, we have many flowers, vines and trees for you to choose from. If you need some help deciding where you should plant or want us to do it for you; we offer certified permaculture landscape design, consultations, and licensed irrigation. Saturdays we have a fresh, local farm market with in season produce, fresh eggs (some from our own chickens and ducks) and other goodies like honey.
