Established in 1991, the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center is a nonprofit public- private collaboration welfare organization that provides investigation, treatment and intervention services for sexual and physical abuses on children. It has served more than 20,000 children and families since its inscription. The Dallas Children's Advocacy Center also serves community professionals in the fields of law enforcement, prosecution, medical care, mental health and education through professional development and training. It conducts various awareness programs for civic groups and other social service providers on topics related to child abuse. The organization offers therapeutic services through cognitive, play and group therapies, as well as forensic interviews and medical examination services. The Dallas Children's Advocacy Center is located in Dallas.
