James B. Bonham Elementary School, established in 1957, offers education to students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Its academic curriculum includes language, reading, mathematics, science and social studies. The school also provides classes in music, arts and physical education. Additionally, it provides individual counseling and peer mediation services. James B. Bonham Elementary School organizes a variety of extracurricular programs that include field trips, field days, awards ceremonies, science fairs and student council. The school also has a library that offers a variety of print and nonprint resources. The school has an enrollment of more than 600 students and is a part of Midland Independent School District.
