Apache Products operates Acme Skid & Plug, a manufacturer and supplier of wooden pallets. Founded in the 1950s, it began as a manufacturer of wooden skids for a paper mill. It is a family owned and woman owned business. Acme Skid & Plug manufactures wooden skids, pallets, crates and other specialty lumber items. On average, the company manufactures more than 1 million pallets each year. Acme Skid & Plug maintains a full-scale, state-of-the-art manufacturing and production facility that uses computer design software, computerized Viking 505 nailing machines and Baker re-saws. It also has its own fleet of trucks to deliver pallets to businesses throughout the South. Apache Products and Acme Skid & Plug are based in Silsbee, Texas.
