History
Amanda Jones received her BS in elementary education from Texas State University, and her initial art training under Mary Watkins at 3 Muses School of Fine Arts, and subsequent training privately and in workshops with Graydon Parrish and Daniel Sprick. She taught at 3 Muses from 2005-2007, after which began teaching from her personal home studio. In the fall of 2018, after 11 years of teaching hundreds of students in her home studio, Amanda opened a new, larger studio where she continues to share her passion and knowledge with budding young artists.

Amanda Lee Jones has been mentoring some of Austin's best young artists since 2005. Amanda teaches drawing and oil painting in a relaxed and kid-friendly atelier style. She combines her training in education with her training in art to deliver sophisticated ideas and techniques in a format children can understand. Classes are designed for students between the ages of 8 and 18 who have a passion for art and have expressed the desire to draw and/or paint representationally.
