History
AGE of Central Texas is a local non-profit organization that provides education and support to people all along the spectrum of growing older, no matter where they are on that journey. AGE serves older adults and caregivers through its primary interrelated programs: adult day health care, caregiver education and resources, early memory loss support, health equipment lending, and peer-based computer classes for seniors.
Specialties
AGE of Central Texas Adult Day Health Care provides non-residential, licensed care for older adults with physical and cognitive needs in a safe, medically supervised environment. Older adults, who would otherwise require full-time in-home or residential care, can receive assistance with daily activities to allow them to continue living in their homes or with their families with the support of adult day health care services. The care team at AGE's Adult Day Health Centers includes a full-time nurse, certified nurse aids, health care and social service professionals, licensed dieticians, and other professional staff. We closely coordinate and communicate with family members, physicians, therapists, and other care professionals to ensure a continuum of care. AGE's Adult Day Health Centers also provide a community-oriented environment where older adults engage in stimulating and therapeutic activities with their peers.
