VSCC, also known as Volunteer State Community College, offers degree programs in a variety of fields. Established in 1971, it serves the students of Clay, Davidson, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale and Wilson counties in Tennessee. The college s academic curriculum includes programs in various subjects, such as accounting, mathematics, communication, economics, history, psychology and sociology. VSCC s programs are approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). It provides a range of student services in the areas of advising, financial assistance, and career planning and placement. The college also organizes several workshops and seminars. VSCC participates in various sports activities, such as basketball, baseball and softball. Additionally, it operates a library that offers a variety of books and reference materials. The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). VSCC maintains a location in Livingston, Tenn.
