SCORE is an independent, nonprofit, and nonpartisan advocacy and research institution based in Nashville, TN. Founded in 2009 by Senator Bill Frist, MD, SCORE is dedicated to driving changes that transform education in Tennessee, from kindergarten through postsecondary, to ensure that students develop the knowledge and skills needed for success in school, college, career, and life.
With a student-focused and research-based approach, SCORE advocates for policies that support student success, engages and empowers educators and education supporters, conducts research to identify effective strategies, monitors progress in improving student outcomes, and provides recommendations to ensure all students are well-served. Through their annual reports and resources, SCORE highlights successes and opportunities in K-12 and postsecondary education, and identifies research-informed priorities to support Tennessee students.
