Sopakco Distribution manages warehouse and circulation operations at facilities in Mullins, S.C., and Greeneville, Tenn. It is part of the Sopakco family of companies, which includes Sopakco Packaging, Sopakco Processing and Sopakco Distribution. The company began in 1943 as a supplier of food to the United States Army during World War II. Sopakco continues to supply U.S. military with MREs (meal ready to eat). A subsidiary of Unaka Corporation, Sopakco Packaging manufactures and packages MREs at facilities in South Carolina. Spakco Processing handles commercial food production for national brand companies, including Crown Point. Located in Mullins, Crown Point is also a Unaka subsidiary.
