Established in 1997, Jere Baxter Middle School is operated by Metropolitan Nashville Public School, which serves more than 74,000 students in over 135 schools in Tennessee. It has various school organizations, including Boy Scouts, peer advisors and peer mediators. The school has a guidance and counseling department that provides basic assistance to students regarding scholarships, career planning, and social and mental problems.
