Established in 1916, Piggly Wiggly is a chain of self-service grocery stores. Based in Shelbyville, Tenn., its merchandise comprises a full line of apparel, collectibles and novelties. The firm offers complete range of recipes for appetizer, baking, beef, beverage, casseroles, dairy, desserts, fruit, grains, organic, pasta, pork, poultry, salads and seafood, to name a few. It was one of the first stores to use the self-service grocery shopping format. The grocery store is an affiliate of C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc., which was ranked as the 10th-largest privately held company in the nation by Forbes magazine in 2010.
