The Sevierville Police Department is a law enforcement agency that protects residents lives, property and individual rights, as well as maintains peace and order. It employs a staff of more than 65 full- and part-time sworn officers, civilians and community volunteers. The department is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The Sevierville Police Department supports the Rape Aggression Defense System (R.A.D.), which is a program of self-defense tactics and techniques for women that provides training related to awareness, prevention, and risk reduction and avoidance. Located in Sevierville, Tenn., it maintains patrol, operational support, criminal investigation, communications and records divisions.
