Rucker-Stewart Middle School serves more than 600 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies, reading and writing. The school also offers several extracurricular programs in band, chorus, art, music, physical education and teen living. In addition, the school provides several sports activities, including football and basketball. Rucker-Stewart Middle School operates several student organizations and clubs, including the National Honor Society, choir, cheerleading team and builders' club. It also operates a parent-teacher organization that supports various school events and activities. Located in Gallatin, Tenn., the school is a part of Sumner County Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
