Morristown-Hamblen High School West, founded in 1968, provides classes to students in grades nine through 12th. It offers a comprehensive program that includes academic, business and general subjects, as well as special education and industrial trade courses. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, social studies, family and consumer science, agriculture, business, mathematics and foreign languages. The school also offers technical education in carpentry, welding, drafting and auto mechanics technology. It provides a range of athletic activities, such as baseball, cross country, soccer, volleyball, golf, swimming and wrestling. Morristown-Hamblen High School West operates a student council and numerous clubs, including key, beta, art and film. It is governed by Hamblen County Department of Education and is a member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The high school is located in Morristown, Tenn.
