Dr. Michael Tompkins completed his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine after a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery with the United States Air Force, San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in Texas. Additional fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH, provided even greater expertise in treating patient conditions requiring surgery. While serving as a Major in the United States Air Force, Dr. Tompkins acted as a General Orthopaedic Surgeon at Langley Air Force Base as well as during deployments in Qatar and Afghanistan. His professional memberships include those in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons.In his free time, Dr. Tompkins enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports with his children, outdoor activities, and traveling
