History
LOL Nashville was founded by Luke Watson in the summer of 2013. Prior to starting LOL Nashville, Luke was a member of the Nashville Improv Company. He quit that group in order to pursue outlets to perform long-form improv. LOL Nashville's debut show was in November of 2013 at the popular Nashville hotspot, The Basement, where they sold out their first and subsequent 3 shows. After searching for a larger venue, they were able to secure a larger venue by partnering with the world-famous venue, 12th & Porter, as their Official Home.
Specialties
LOL Nashville is an improv comedy troupe based in Nashville! Every part of every show is unscripted and is made up on the spot with the help of suggestions from the audience. No two shows are alike. They are known for their hilarious, fast-paced short-form (as seen on 'Whose Line is it Anyway?') and their unique long-form improv styles. Nearly every improv show they've performed has been sold out. The world-famous venue, 12th & Porter, is the official home of LOL Nashville. LOL Nashville performs at least once a month at 12th & Porter (located at 114 12th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37203). LOL Nashville is the only Nashville improv group that regularly performs at a venue that has a full bar, food, and cocktail servers. Their improvisers have been trained by veteran improvisors from schools of improv that include The Second City, iO (ImprovOlympic), Dad's Garage Theater, and many others. They're available for private events, corporate functions, and workshops.
