The Environmental Field Office coordinates various grant programs and issues permits for new industries. The office offers a range of pollution prevention, file review and emergency assistance services. It provides inventory control, record maintenance, and entry and data management services. The office also offers groundwater protection, remediation, water pollution control, and radiological health, solid and hazardous waste management services. It addresses jurisdictional issues related to air, land and water. The office coordinates meetings with outside groups and state and federal agencies. It manages a staff of environmental coordinators, administrative managers and support personnel. The Environmental Field Office is a part of the Department of Environment & Conservation.
