HistoryI encountered timber framing while traveling recuiting campers for Camp Arrowhead and Glen Arden in Tuxedo, NC. Fell in love with the timber frame structures in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Learned the art of timber framing in the 1980's. Built and taught timber framing at the childrens camps. Built an out door climbing wall and blacksmith shop for the camps. Soon after, I began building timber frames for friends, then friends of friends and in 1996 we became a business. We have been building timber frames of strength, durability and beauty since then. These timber frames include but are not limited to great rooms, hybrid timber frame homes, full timber frame homes, wineries, a public library, many other commercial timber frame structures, porte-cocheres, out door cooking porches and other timber frame garden structures.
