The General Board of Higher Education and Ministry is an agency of The United Methodist Church. It supports the church s educational mission through more than 120 schools, colleges, universities, seminaries, campus ministers and over 66 annual conference boards of higher education. Its programs include training, consultation, research and publications for all of its constituencies. Additionally, the agency provides systems of accountability that support all forms of ministry. Located in Nashville, Tenn., the agency is organized into two program divisions. Its education division provides scholarship and loan programs through offerings, wills, annuities and other designated gifts. It also offers information to church-related schools and universities in matters of public policy and higher education.
