General Motors Spring Hill Manufacturing
Located in Spring Hill, Tenn., GM Spring Hill Plant was opened in the year 1990. It has a workforce of over 1,100 employees and primarily produces three variants of the Ecotec brand engines; Ecotec 2.0-liter turbocharged direct injection 4-cylinder engines, Ecotec 2.4-liter MPFI 4-cylinder engines and Ecotec 2.4-liter direct injection 4-cylinder engines. The plant also manufactures transfer press die lines, interior/exterior doors, wheelhouses, floor pans, dashes and various interior reinforcement parts. GM Spring Hill Plant additionally molds a variety of interior garnish parts, interior/exterior doors and also paints fascias for Chevy Traverse. The 6.9 million square feet plant has been named Most Efficient Engine Plant in North America in the 2007 Harbour Report.
